Newsboys is a Christian pop rock band founded in 1985 in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. They have released 16 studio albums, six of which have been certified gold. Currently, the band consists of lead vocalist Michael Tait formerly of DC Talk, keyboardist and bassist Jeff Frankenstein, guitarist Jody Davis, and drummer and percussionist Duncan Phillips.

The band is currently headlining the 35-city fall “We Believe Tour,” with special guests Family Force 5 and 7eventh Time Down. Kicking-off to sold-out crowds in the Memphis, Nashville, and Philadelphia markets last weekend, the tour is also slated to hit Dallas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Duluth, Minnesota; Rockford, Illinois; and Houston, among other cities, before concluding November 16 in Youngstown, Ohio.

With more than 8 million units sold, 33 #1 radio hits, four GRAMMY® nominations, multiple Dove Awards and five Gold records, among numerous other accolades, Newsboys is one of the most influential bands in Christian music today. Comprised of lead vocalist Michael Tait, Jody Davis (guitar), Jeff Frankenstein (keys) and Duncan Phillips (drums), the title-cut from the group’s best-selling 2012 recording, God’s Not Dead, topped the CHR chart for seven consecutive weeks and garnered an RIAA Gold certification. Newsboys’ latest album, 2013’s Restart, features the history-making #1 hit, “We Believe,” which topped the Billboard Christian Music chart for 15 consecutive weeks to become the band’s longest-running #1 single to date.
